A: Power Teams compete through NCVA, attend more tournaments, travel farther, have 2 coaches, receive gym facility priority, and cost a little more in the hopes of competing at Junior Olympics at the end of the season in June/July. Area Teams compete through AAU, attend less tournaments, travel closer to home, have only one head coach and end their club season at the end of May/beginning of June.
Q: Do I need to tryout for Power & Area teams to be considered for both?
