Grant’s volleyball career started when he was in sixth grade. Starting out as a defensive specialist, he was soon moved to the position of middle blocker. When he was fourteen, Grant began to play for NCVC. Throughout his career with NCVC, Grant has been to multiple national level tournaments, played in the open division at Junior Olympics, and trained with the USA Volleyball High Performance program.
Grant strongly believes that a true love of the game starts at a young age and that younger teams should spend more time on the basics of the game as well as developing a good mental state of being before moving
on to the more technical side of things.
In addition to playing volleyball, Grant enjoys playing bass guitar, spending time with his friends, and listening to music, especially jazz, blues, and metal.
