Background

Derrek was a multi-sport athlete growing up and continued that trend competing collegiately in both volleyball and track and field.

He brings 25+ years of playing and coaching experience, continues to play competitive doubles volleyball and is always looking to be a better player and better coach.

He believes that coaches need to continue to improve their craft and become better at what they do.

He takes pride in developing young players and understands that the key to learning is to be open to trying new and more difficult tasks and that failure is a part of the learning process.
